Mother's Day, May 15, 2017

I had posted this picture on my mother's facebook today to wish her a happy Mother's Day.  This picture was taken last summer when my daughter was home from China for a month visiting.  My mother, daughter and I went to a local spa to have our toe and finger nails done.  I rarely visit salons for this, I do my own nails and not very well or very often.  I thought this would be something fun for us girls to do together.  Mom is 20 years older than I am, she is now 74 and my daughter is 25.

Nova Scotia Rug School, May 07, 2017

I believe it was 2007, when I went to Rug School the first and only time to date.  I'm hoping the ladies from my class don't mind me posting our group photo from that class.  I had signed up to take Cilla Cameron's, English Landscapes, I was so excited.  That year there was an epidemic going around and I forget right now what it was but Cilla was afraid she would get to Canada but wouldn't be able to leave so she wasn't able to attend and teach her class.  I was very disappointed to say the least but Joan...

I’m not telling you this looking for sympathy but simply to inform you if you have noticed my absence responding to posts and I haven’t been blogging.

Monday, March 27th, my husband went in for day knee surgery and the next day I was having him taken by ambulance to the local hospital. By Wednesday we had received the news he has cancer and the next day Eldon was transported to a near...

Strawberry Time, July 30, 2017

I hope everyone is having a great summer. My husband Eldon, spent the last week in the hospital but we are now back home and all is well!  Friends and family built Eldon a ramp for his wheelchair which was so needed.  I can't thank them enough. Here is a picture of us coming home on Thursday using the ramp for the first time.

hank you for your continued prayers, they are certainly welcomed.

I love strawberry season and the featured picture for this weeks blog is of my dessert I made tonight, strawberry shortcake.  I make a sweet biscuit...
