Do you ever got off track?  All week I've been thinking about my border for my Tall Ship rug, should I bother with a border or shouldn't I?  I saw a post this week of a background completely reversed hooked.  It looked wonderful and I thought, hey, I could reverse hook my border!  So I finally decided on two things, one there will be a border and two the color, blackish grey.  I made a new color I'm calling Volcanic Ash.  I just love it.

The details, the details.  Have I told you I don't care to hook with yarn...at all?  For me, I struggle hooking with yarn. Yarn is so pretty and soft, looks wonderful in rugs but each time I'm trying to hook with yarn it is a fight, who will win?  I have to slow down, go careful and I have to be more exact perhaps is how I feel about hooking with yarn.  Fabric is more forgiving and can stand up to my rough and tumble ways.  I pulled out my Tall Ship grey lines (not a boat person so I...

Another week has quickly flown by. I honestly don't know where the time goes.  I've been dyeing a 'lot' of wool this week and not much hooking on my Tall Ships rug but this weekend, I went to town on it!
