Nova Scotia Rug School, May 07, 2017

I believe it was 2007, when I went to Rug School the first and only time to date.  I'm hoping the ladies from my class don't mind me posting our group photo from that class.  I had signed up to take Cilla Cameron's, English Landscapes, I was so excited.  That year there was an epidemic going around and I forget right now what it was but Cilla was afraid she would get to Canada but wouldn't be able to leave so she wasn't able to attend and teach her class.  I was very disappointed to say the least but Joan Young stepped up and took on the class and we all enjoyed it very much.  I had never been to rug school, I hadn't known the protocol 'bring wine' and 'small mats' to hook.  I had hand drawn my own pattern with the help of my brother in-law, of my families homestead which measured 48" x 36", not a small mat and no wine, what was a gal to do?  I was enthusiastic to say the least.

I'm thinking of all the fun everyone will be having this coming week at Rug School at Mount St. Vincent in Halifax, NS.  I had signed up to go to school but unfortunately won't be able to attend and had to cancel just a few weeks ago.  I will be thinking of you all and the great fun you will be having, please post lots of pictures on Facebook for us all to see.  I will be there in spirit!

I finished hooking up my 'provincial flower' rug by Jane Steele. I've decided I'm going to square it up and hook it like the Canadian Flag.  I was busy dyeing up some red for that today, stay tuned for how this turns out!

A few new colors in the shop this week, one I'm calling Lake Louise that I think is so pretty.

Today I created Ruby Violet and oh my it is so pretty!

Thank you to everyone who have messaged, called, visited in the last month, your continued positive thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated!

Have a wonderful week everyone.
