Strawberry Time, July 30, 2017

I hope everyone is having a great summer. My husband Eldon, spent the last week in the hospital but we are now back home and all is well!  Friends and family built Eldon a ramp for his wheelchair which was so needed.  I can't thank them enough. Here is a picture of us coming home on Thursday using the ramp for the first time.

hank you for your continued prayers, they are certainly welcomed.

I love strawberry season and the featured picture for this weeks blog is of my dessert I made tonight, strawberry shortcake.  I make a sweet biscuit instead of having cake, it was delicious.  If you wish to have the recipe just send me a quick message and I'll share with you.

I enjoy hooking strawberries.  For my William Morris rug, I hooked for the first time strawberries and they were fun to do.

A client wanted some wool yarn to whip the edge of her rug with to match some wool fabric she had purchased from me, it is just gorgeous.  It is called Fantasia.  Don't hesitate to contact me if you need a skein or two of yarn dyed up to match any of the wool fabrics I sell.

I'm afraid I haven't been hooking much.  I did get a bit more done on my 'Bite Out of Life' rug while at the hospital as I didn't need much concentration for that.  This is a 36" round rug that my daughter specifically requested, a doughnut with a bite out of it with bright pink frosting and sprinkles on top.

I hope you have a wonderful week folks.  Take in some sunshine (vitamin D), makes everything alright.
