Why is it that 'when' we are in the moment, we don't realize it is a 'moment' to be savored, remembered, looked back on with fond memories?  It is only 'later' that we wish for those good 'moments' to be back. The above sunset picture was posted on Facebook from one of my friends, but do you think I can remember whom I stole it from now? Nope!  Hope they can forgive me.  I never see a sunset, I live on the side of a hill and the sunsets are always on the other side of the hill.  I see lots of sunrises though so that is ok.  Wouldn't this sunset make a fabulous rug?  Let me know if it is your photo so I can give you credit for this wonderful...

Do you gather the strawberries when in season and put some down in your freezer? Make jams? Grow a garden? Gather apples to put down in your freezer for apple sauces and pies? The last week in Nova Scotia was sporting cooler temperatures which puts me in the ‘squirrel’ mood to make things for storage for winter. I  baked, and peeled apples.  I can remember as a kid my dad talking about the squirrels and how they wouldn’t survive our winters without storing food away. Do you store food for the winter?...

I got quite a bit hooked on my Tatiana pattern.  I had thought I would reverse hook the blue background but changed my mind once I saw a corner hooked reverse.  The backing of linen was showing through.  I know I could have hooked closer but I just wasn't...

Summer is in full swing now.  Great weather, enjoy as we'll blink and it will be gone.  We've got a bit of rain here in Nova Scotia so the bugs are a bit thick but other than that we can't complain.

As you can see from the above picture, another cloud picture.  I'm getting closer to starting my cloud rugs.  Notice it is plural as I think I'll be doing many cloud rugs before getting it 'just right'.
