Rid The Winter Blues

This winter has been a long one and my friend Diane and I had the last minute opportunity to attend a local rug hooking retreat called, 'Rid The Winter Blues' last week in Fredericton, NB.  It was exactly what we needed to forget about the cold weather.  It was a wonderful event, the food was great, the company was fantastic and we had lots of fun!  A few pictures below from the event.

We are very happy to see March with the hope of warmer weather to come.  Last week, we had a doozy of a snow storm.  The above photo I was walking up the hill from where I live and this is how big the snow bank is, it is above my head!

Thanks to a couple of my friends, (Teralisa and Shelley) for coming to help set up, you guys are the best! It was so lovely to see all of you who came to see our wonderful displays and do a bit of shopping.  Thank you so much for continuing to support my business!

Hook-Ins and Retreats

It is that time of year again when the rug hookers are making plans for hook-ins, retreats and rug school.  The 'Roadies' are leaving for Rothesay, NB for a retreat this week.  I am not able to attend this year so I will miss it and all the gals.  Unfortunately it still looks like winter outside and temperatures are persisting to be cold.  I was the passenger going to New Glasgow yesterday and snapped the above photo.  The trees laden with snow and ice is always so pretty.
