Lynne and I were on the road last week attending the Periwinkle Laine Retreat in beautiful Charlottetown, PEI.  The first day of the retreat, a Holland America cruise ship was in dock just above Lynne's head (photo above). I didn't get a photo of it but man did it look huge!  In just a months time, Lynne and I will be aboard the Holland America cruise ship called The Rotterdam.

Last night it rained, hard! Like we don't already have enough rain, the ground is so saturated, it can't hold any more. We did have some very nice days during the week though so we shouldn't complain.  The sun shone brightly a few days and yesterday wasn't a total loss, rained late in the day.

My mom and two sisters had a shopping trip on Friday.  My sister Debra (back right) has a birthday coming up this week so we used that as our excuse to celebrate together. My mom (Joan, back left), my other sister Dianne (front seat) and myself wanted to shop for our pending cruise in July so another good excuse to shop together.

I spent the weekend at my daughters and my oldest granddaughter turned 6 on Friday.  Her father loves to 'rock climb' and Sophie has been asking for some time if her father would let her rock climb.  He promised her when she turned 6, he will take her rock climbing.  Friday Sophie went rock climbing.  This is her above and guess what?  She loves it and wants to go again.

My rug above, I started at rug school, has been finished being rug hooked.  Now I am working on the Kilim stitch on the top and bottom and I will whip the sides then fringes come last.  If you zoom in, you can see the kilim stitch is almost done on one end of the rug.
