It is that time of year again when the rug hookers are making plans for hook-ins, retreats and rug school. The 'Roadies' are leaving for Rothesay, NB for a retreat this week. I am not able to attend this year so I will miss it and all the gals. Unfortunately it still looks like winter outside and temperatures are persisting to be cold. I was the passenger going to New Glasgow yesterday and snapped the above photo. The trees laden with snow and ice is always so pretty.
I finished my oldest granddaughters rag quilt. The print squares, has the words, Dream Big, all any grandmother could wish for their grandkids.

I finished my 'bark' rendition for my second Bakers Dozen class.

I did work a bit on my basket. It will take some time but at least I'm back at it.

I had to jump on the MTI (Melt The Ice) knitting movement. For those who may not know, MTI takes inspiration from Norway. The red tasseled hat, was a symbol of patriotism and protest against Nazi occupation during the second world war. Seems appropriate during these times to show support by having this red hat. There are free patterns on Ravelry if you'd like to knit your own.

In the mail this week; no new rugs to share from clients. Maybe next week.
Don't forget if you are in the Dartmouth, NS area to drop in to see a wonderful pop-up shop of three vendors, Friday, February 13, 2026, 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, February 14, 2026, 10-2 pm. Creative Ewe, Periwinkle Laine and Della's Rug Hooking Studio.
Have a great week everyone!
