Welcome back everyone!  How does a few short weeks go by so quickly? I enjoyed the holidays with family and friends.  Above my Mom (Joan), Dad (Winston) and Charlie went to the Casino New Brunswick for New Years buffet they were having that evening along with what seemed like a thousand other people.  We enjoyed the evening.

What a wonderful week we have had weather wise in Nova Scotia for the beginning of September, we are so blessed. Friday, some like minded fibre friends and I traveled to New Glasgow for the Woolstock East Fibre Festival. Wonderful day and above we enjoyed a meal in Pictou by the water. Has been many years since I had visited Pictou, reminds me of Lounenburg, NS.

I get a laugh when I hear the adverts on the radio that refer to shopping days until Christmas.  Yesterday all I heard all day was how it was the second Saturday before Christmas.  Is your shopping done?  I start January of every year, with good intentions.  Make my list, check it twice but then soon forget about it until October!  If I would only collect things a little at a time, it would make my life so much easier.  The problem is most of the time, I have no idea...

I have said many times, there is no better group of people to belong to than the rug hooking community.  We support & encourage one another and have loads of fun.  I shared on Facebook a video by Jane Fonda regarding growing old and how we need to look at it another way.  She encouraged people to join an art class of any sort for the exact reasons I've mentioned above.  The community aspect of getting together with other like minded people, helps keep us young.
