Where Is Summer?

This summer, technically today, has been some rain, some sunshine and cooler temperatures over all in my opinion. My azalea's were beautiful in bloom.  A quick photo above of mine.  I love this time of year seeing all the wonderful flowers.  My spirea is still in bloom as well with lots of blossoms.

I started a new rug hooking project this week.  I had drawn out a beach scene a few years ago and never 'got to it'.  This week was the perfect time to begin it before I had my...

In a Heart Beat

Everything can change in a heart beat.  Our dear Mary (pictured above), member of the Northport Loopers, passed this week.  Her presence will be missed by so many, especially her daughter Kim who took her mother most weeks to hook in Northport.  I hope reading everyone's condolences gives her some solace.  One main theme said about Mary is her smile.  She always had a welcoming smile for everyone.

This past week I attended a rug hooking retreat in PEI hosted by Periwinkle Laine.  The below picture about sums up the week,...

I finished my pattern by Gail and I...

When you look at the above photo this morning, which numbered sheep represents you today so far?  I think I'm a #3.  I thought they were cute and 'had' to share.

Everyone in the Maritimes I think has felt the cold the past week.  On the radio station I listen to, they have been calling it MaNover (May but feels like November).  My heat sure has been on.  Hopefully it warms up soon.

I finished my Baker's Dozen, Calm Waters, pattern by Susan Clarke.  It sure was challenging as...

Celebrations

What a week it has been!  Lots of celebrations.

The above photo I stole from Ursula Gulliver, I never take a good photo and Ursula managed to catch a good one of me so thought I would share.

The week started off with the Springhill, Friends Hook Nook, Hook-In.  We celebrated 30 years as a group.  Friends came from all over.  Deanne Fitzpatrick gave a little talk about community and how important the connections we make when joining a rug hooking group and sharing our experiences together, makes us stronger.  Bonnie...
