Everything can change in a heart beat. Our dear Mary (pictured above), member of the Northport Loopers, passed this week. Her presence will be missed by so many, especially her daughter Kim who took her mother most weeks to hook in Northport. I hope reading everyone's condolences gives her some solace. One main theme said about Mary is her smile. She always had a welcoming smile for everyone.
This past week I attended a rug hooking retreat in PEI hosted by Periwinkle Laine. The below picture about sums up the week, great fun and I won't say who is letting their feet do the dancing in the air.
I took a course with Dwight Gallagher on how to hook 'cattails' or some called 'bullrushes'. I finished my project.
I finished pressing my bunny pattern by Jane Steele for my granddaughter Alina.
I finished knitting a baby afghan for my great niece arriving in September.
Yesterday I attended the first hook-in held at the Lady Smith Manor in Dorchester, NB. It was a great time. When we leave for a hooking adventure, I take a photo and post on Facebook with the caption, 'and we are off'. I was requested to ask ChatGPT to modify my photo as a caricature as it takes all of our wrinkles away! What has never happened before is ChatGPT also made the photo look like it had been hooked! How amazing that was and many thought it was actually hand hooked. It was not!
