That's a Wrap! November 02, 2025

If you have been watching the baseball games, wow, wow and wow.  Last nights game was the first I nearly watched until the end.  I'm sorry to hear this morning the Blue Jays lost.  They fought a good battle.  Now what will we do for entertainment?  November is here already!

I finished my crochet edging on my Periwinkle Laine landscrap.

I am knitting a Polkadrop Cowl, it is a 'bubble tuck' stitch I have never done.  It is going slowly. ...

Roadies on Road Trips

What did you do for your last week of October?  The leaves have fallen 'a lot'.  Do you decorate for Halloween?  I did this year.  I hope I have some goblins to visit on Halloween.  Last year I didn't have even one kid.  The above photo was taken in Tatamagouche on Saturday.  This house I thought was perfectly decorated.

I attended a hook-in on Monday with the Truro, Friday Friends.  It was a good time as usual.  Lots of rugs to inspire you.

NS Fibre Arts Festival

It has been a busy week getting my shop ready to vend at the Nova Scotia Fibre Arts Festival, held in Amherst last week.  I vended at the Trinity St. Stephen Church, Heartz Hall, for two days. Lots of people visited our rug display, it was a fabulous show of works of art.  A few pictures below.  I always enjoy seeing the same rug hooked by different people and their interruption of the same.

Thanksgiving Travels

Beautiful drive to and from Halifax this weekend to my daughters for Thanksgiving.  My daughter Jenna served up her first Thanksgiving Supper and it was wonderful.  So much to be thankful for, my wonderful family and friends, rug hooking community this beautiful country we live in to name a few.

I haven't worked any more on my 'waves of creativity' landscape rug by Periwinkle Laine since I got home from their retreat on PEI.  Below photo of my rug thus far.

Visiting Wool Shops & PEI Retreat

I own a wool shop but that doesn't mean I can't visit other wool shops.  Two very good wool shops I had the pleasure of visiting this week, Encompassing Designs (Mahone Bay) and River house (Petite Riviere) Studio's.  A group of us, including the Roadies, decided to venture down the south shore of Nova Scotia.  We stayed the night in Bridgewater and had a wonderful time.  We will have to make this an annual event.  Tons of laughter!

A few pictures from our adventure.
