Winter Wonderland, January 30, 2022

My friends have heard me say a few times, if it is winter and it is going to be cold, we my as well have the snow to go with it!  We've had a total of 3 Nor'easter snow storms in the last month.  Lots of shoveling and yes I hurt all over from it. I love seeing children play outside in the snow.

The Rug Hooking Community lost another dear lady this week, Beverley Sheppard.  Bev had such a positive attitude about her continued struggle with Cancer.  She fought with every ounce of her body. Rest in peace my friend.

I have been in the dye pots mostly this past week, no rug hooking for me again.  I did spend 3 days making a rag quilt.  I am no sewer but I thought it would be fun to do.  It is made of flannel and my friend Shelley made one as well.  Shelley will go on to make a few more where as I, one is enough for me...grins

Below is Shelley's and her back was solid grey like a square you can see on the front.

In the mail this week; Shelley Myers did up this sweet pattern.  She said it will go in her gazebo in the summertime.

Have a good week everyone!

  • sorry for the loss of a fellow hooker. I have never made a rag quilt they say it is hard on the hands, Hands are sore enough without making them worse

  • The rag quilts are fabulous and so is the Palm Rug Shelley made! I agree, we have enough snow for the entire winter! :)
