My friends have heard me say a few times, if it is winter and it is going to be cold, we my as well have the snow to go with it! We've had a total of 3 Nor'easter snow storms in the last month. Lots of shoveling and yes I hurt all over from it. I love seeing children play outside in the snow.
The Rug Hooking Community lost another dear lady this week, Beverley Sheppard. Bev had such a positive attitude about her continued struggle with Cancer. She fought with every ounce of her body. Rest in peace my friend.
I have been in the dye pots mostly this past week, no rug hooking for me again. I did spend 3 days making a rag quilt. I am no sewer but I thought it would be fun to do. It is made of flannel and my friend Shelley made one as well. Shelley will go on to make a few more where as I, one is enough for me...grins
Below is Shelley's and her back was solid grey like a square you can see on the front.
In the mail this week; Shelley Myers did up this sweet pattern. She said it will go in her gazebo in the summertime.
Have a good week everyone!
Condolences on Beverly’s passing . It is always hard to lose a dear friend . Hugs to you . Love that you are trying new things . The rag rug looks lovely . So nice to see other hookers work . It inspires the rest of us . 😀
sorry for the loss of a fellow hooker. I have never made a rag quilt they say it is hard on the hands, Hands are sore enough without making them worse
The rag quilts are fabulous and so is the Palm Rug Shelley made! I agree, we have enough snow for the entire winter! :)
