Winds of Change, April 11, 2021

Most of us have experienced some sort of 'change' within our lives.  Some good, some not so good.  How we handle change is different for each of us.  Grief is the same in that most of us have experienced the loss of a loved one at some point.  There is no right or wrong way with how we deal with our grief.  A year ago this month, in my province of Nova Scotia, many people experienced great loss due to a mass shooting.  My heart goes out to the people left behind to 'handle' the change.  Anniversary dates are especially hard I know.

I now have the handles attached to my Carpet Bag and I am very happy with the result.

I have been able to spend some time on my Holly Hill Design rug.  I am enjoying working on it and challenging myself to use as many 'worms' as I can for the motifs.  I typically throw all my worms into a basket and give them away to new rug hookers from time to time.  Trying to sort through the mess of left over strips was too time consuming so I decided to sort them.  A picture below to show you I have way too many left over strips and my progress to date on my rug.

This week in the mail, Theresa Rushton shared with me a couple of her rugs.  So pretty Theresa.

Teralisa Ripley shared with me a rug she designed and hooked with yarn.  Lovely Teralisa!

Have a good week everyone!

  • Your carpet bag looks great and I really like the handles you have on it. Are you planning to carry handles in your shop? Also, I love the Holly Hill mat you are working on, so pretty!
