Welcome back everyone! How does a few short weeks go by so quickly? I enjoyed the holidays with family and friends. Above my Mom (Joan), Dad (Winston) and Charlie went to the Casino New Brunswick for New Years buffet they were having that evening along with what seemed like a thousand other people. We enjoyed the evening.
Are you going to make this year the best ever? Do you believe you are in control of such an outcome? I am a firm believer that if you think positively, good things will come to you, eventually.
I enjoyed the down time to make some progress on my outstanding rugs. I finished them and now just the finishing to do. The first rug below is an Encompassing Design pattern, I love a geometric and this one was so fun to do.
The above is a Diane Benoit pattern, a tessellation of leaves. I used all over dyed plaids and textured wool fabrics on this one. So fun to do.
I am extremely happy to share that my studio, Della's Rug Hooking, along with Periwinkle Laine and Creative Ewe will be have a pop up shopping experience for you in Dartmouth, at the Hampton Inn, Feb. 14 and 15th, 2025. Hope to see you there. If anyone wants to place orders ahead please do so and I can bring with me. See below for details.
In the mail this week; Barbara Clarke finished up this lovely pattern by All About Ewe. The greens were hand dyed by Della's Rug Hooking Studio. Great job Barb!
Karen Garbee finished up this beautiful pattern by David Galchutt. Some of the reds for the flowers and the background were provided by Della's Rug Hooking Studio. Beautiful job Karen.
Shelley Myers finished up this lovely little pattern of her own and her husband made the frame, it is perfect, well done Shelley!
Have a wonderful week everyone!
Thanks Della for continuing to inspire me. I love the large geometric rug you completed. I have some rugs to finish with a list of new ones to start. It’s my motivation!
