Warmer Temps, April 10, 2022

We have seen some warmer temperatures in Nova Scotia this week, yesterday I actually got to sit in the sun for a bit after cleaning up my flower beds a bit and picking up pine sticks that fall from the pine trees out front of my home every winter.

The tulips are a sure sign of spring and my friend Lynne gave me the above pretty yellow tulips.  She is such a sweetie.

I had posted on one of my Facebook groups regarding the donation that was made in honor of our dear rug hooking friend, Dianne Bacon, who had passed last September.  Rug hookers from across Canada purchased Dianne's Rug Hooking stash and $1,000 was donated to the Red Cross to help Ukraine. Thanks again for all of your help.

Dianne had several rugs not finished that we are trying to finish up to return to the family if they want them.  The below Christmas rugs were hooked but the edges were not finished so I finished those up this weekend.  Both of these patterns were purchased from Della's Rug Hooking Studio.

The below was a rug of Dianne's that required some hooking to be done to finish it up, not sure who's pattern it is.  I am now working on the whipping.

I finished the Laughing Whale pattern by Jane Steele.

I was asked by a customer if I had a mug rug pattern that would have Ukraine flag and sunflower on it.  I said no but I said it wouldn't be difficult to draw out.  I drew it out on a napkin as I was in my kitchen making breakfast.  If you wish to use this pattern, you may.  My gift to you all.

In the mail this week; Diane Benoit finished this sweet Deanne Fitzpatrick pattern.

Dawn Fage, of the Sunrise Trail  Quiltery shared a picture of the mitts she knitted using Della's Rug Hooking Studio hand dyed 100% wool yarns, Ocean and Pixie Dust.

Have a good week everyone!
