Summer Time, July 09, 2023

I love the few months of lovely weather we get here in the Maritimes even though we have had a 'lot' of rain in recent weeks.  One positive of lots of rain is everything is so lush green. The above photo was taken by my daughter on our excursion to Cape Breton last week. Ferns in the woods.  When I was a young girl, my father was continually working his blueberry land and one of the things my siblings and I had to do was 'pull ferns'.  I don't know if you have ever tried but man they are very difficult to pull out.  You have to reach way down to nearly the ground to ensure you pull straight up to remove the root.

I haven't been working on any projects, I am gathering supplies for my up coming Rug School in Newfoundland in August.  I am taking a class with Wendie Davis and I am going to hook my granddaughter's face 'pixelated'.  See below, should be fun!

In the mail this week; Lynne Lines has finished up her Rug School project, this wonderful Owl.  A lot of the wool was supplied by Della's Rug Hooking.  Fabulous job girly!

Wanda Ollerhead shared her finished rug, it is a gift for her son's wedding, so shhhhh.  A lot of the wool was supplied by Della's Rug Hooking, the border by Ankie Fisher.  I think it looks awesome Wanda!

Elen Silver finished up her Ross The Rooster, design sold by Della's Rug Hooking.  Elen has named him David.  Well done Elen!

Have a great week everyone!
