Summer Days, July 08, 2019

We've been waiting for nice weather and the last few days, we've finally got it! What is that saying? Be careful what you wish for!

Denver has always wanted to play baseball but I could never put him into baseball as it was during the day in the summer and I was working so I couldn't get him there. He has started this summer since I am now retired and I can take him to the games. Look at this stance, he looks like a natural to me! He had his first game/practice last Thursday.

I'm slowly working away at my outstanding rug hooking projects. I finished another one that I'm calling 'Perfect Find', designed by my daughter, Jenna.

I wanted the background to be a snowy day with spots of blue sky peeking through. Below is what the wool looked like before cutting it. I think it is perfect!

The Large Flower with torn strips course is coming up quickly here at my studio being taught by Patsy Gorveatte. Stay tuned, I'll have pictures in next weeks blog of the wonderful flower chair pads we make.

I have some wonderful Jane Steel, of River House Gallery patterns in stock. I haven't updated my web page as of yet for the patterns but drop in to see them anytime. I do hope during this summer if you are out my way, stop in to see me!

My granddaughter, Sophie and her mom and dad were to visit this weekend. We had an awesome weekend and I made strawberry jam. I couldn't resist taking a picture of Sophie with the strawberries. All that sweetness in one place no need for sugar!

Have an awesome week everyone!
