Road Trip, April 16, 2023

I went on a road trip last week with some wonderful friends, to PEI for a wonderful rug hooking work shop with a wonderful teacher, Linda Marchbank.  The workshop was how to rug hooking an Elaine Harrison work of art.  Did you notice all the wonderful words I used?  We had so much fun!  The group of ladies in this course were spectacular!  This was the first workshop put on by Periwinkle Laine (Charlene and Debbie), they were simply a delight to chat and hang with and so knowledgeable.

Charlene Miller (Periwinkle Laine) rug hooked the below poppy rug which is something to see in person.  It welcomed us to this wonderful workshop.

A picture below of Linda giving some instruction.

Below is my rendition of one of Elaine's paintings that Linda has called 'yellow flowers.

Beauty is all around us if we only wish to see.  The below I took at the pond back in the woods behind my place today.  The reflection of the trees in the water was awesome so I'm sharing. Won't be long before the leaves pop out on the trees and the bugs chase us away.

In the mail this week; Nancy Doucette shared this wonderful rug she recently finished, a Van Goph.  It is simply beautiful in person. Thanks Nancy for allowing me to share on my blog.

Have a good week everyone!

  • Road trips are always fun, and that looks like it was a good workshop. Nancy’s rug is spectacular! With beautiful weather comes bugs, but it also brings beautiful birds that enjoy them for lunch. I enjoy your posts!
