Proud Canadian

Canadians should be proud to be Canadian. I know I am.  Canada day is upon us, hope you get to celebrate and count our blessings how fortunate we are to live in this beautiful country.

I have worked on my Gooney Bird but I am at the cottage and forgot to take a photo and my Gooney Bird is at home.  I will post next week.

I worked on knitting a pair of 'anklet' socks.  I can never seem to knit two exact pair of socks but no matter, they looked great on my feet.

Jean Fawthrop had us 'Monday Hookers' in for lunch at her home.  Was a wonderful treat for us.  Thanks again Jean for the wonderful meal.

I visited the Historical  Barachois Church this weekend.  I had never been there and I wasn't disappointed.  The church itself is lovely, the young men at the door told us that this is the last Acadian wooden built church left standing.  The church is now 199 years old, soon to be 200!  Looking from above at all of the hooked cushions on the benches was a sight to see for sure.

In the mail this week; Charlene Frehlick shared this wonderful rug she finished hooking inspired from a quilt she saw.  Beautiful Charlene and I love how it feels so three dimensional.

Barb Murray shared this lovely pillow rug she hooked that will be on display at the Trinity United Church in Botwood Newfoundland & Labrador, celebrating their 100th anniversary of the church.  Beautiful Barb!

Margie Anderson finished up this lovely rug she hooked.  Thanks so much for sharing Margie!  Just keep swimming comes to mind when I see this.

Have a great week everyone!
