It has been a busy week and it will be even a busier following week at the Nova Scotia, Rug Hooking Guild, Rug School in Halifax. The lovely lady in the photo above with me is Donna Hezlep from Portland, Maine. She is on her way to rug school and stayed with me Friday night. What a delight she is. We had some great chats! Everyone who is going to rug school is very excited to get together with like minded people for an entire week of learning.
This past week I attended a Hook-In held by the Colchester Heritage Rug Hookers in Truro, NS. A few pictures below from the event. Was excellent as usual and so much fun!

Basket above for the basket draws, beautiful!

Kim MacKenzie above finishing up her mermaid rug, so beautiful. Periwinkle Laine pattern.

Susan Sheppard above with her lovely pansy rug, pattern by Dwight Gallagher.

Wendy Brown above with her pretty little pattern by Loopy Wool.

Sheila Wilson was working on this rug above of her families homestead. Look closely, she used a string of linen to make the siding look like boards. It was wonderful.
My Bakers Dozen class on Monday night with Susan Clarke was learning all about calm and stormy waters. The below is my beginning of a calm water, pattern by Susan. Lots of reflections in the water to come.

Last evening, I attended a 'cooking class' at the Lady Smith Manor in Dorchester, NB. My daughter Jenna turned 34 on Friday so this was my birthday gift to her. The chef Laura was an excellent teacher of making pasta, the evening was so much fun! Below is the meal plan for the evening.

In the mail this week; Shelley Myers finished this pattern that I helped her draw the flowers. So pretty Shelley.

Have a great week everyone!
