Last week I was fortunate to attend the Island Matters annual retreat on PEI. This lovely group of ladies and gents were simply a delight. The PEI folks had not ever played the Right, Left, Center game. So we played and had great fun. The below picture is of Diane Benoit, who won all the wool. Does she look excited or what?
Lots of laughs and I would highly recommend attending any rug hooking retreats you can! It continually amazes me how small our world really is. New friends were made and connections discovered.
Below are some pictures of rugs in progress or finished from the retreat.
I was inspired by Winnie Glavine from Newfoundland who hooks designs on garbage cans to try this. I began my garbage can last week at the retreat. Below is my progress. I am duplicating the design and colours from my 'Sista' rug.
In the mail this week; Audrey Sauder allowed me to share her recent completion of this lovely rug, inspired by a photo called Change Islands, taken by Ray Mackey and permission granted to hook.
Stay safe and have a great week everyone.
Hi Della, I’m so happy to have met you in St Andrews today at the Quoddy Loopers hook-in.
Your hooked garbage can looks amazing.
Julia from Of Petals and Wool.
Hope that garbage can will not be used for “garbage” maybe for wool or something. It’s gorgeous! So creative!
