Time is fast approaching for that long awaited event each year. Hopefully it gives us each something to look forward to, spending time with family and friends. Eating lots of good foods. Creating new traditions or celebrating old ones.
The above photo is thanks to Margie Anderson. She had hooked the lovely hooked rug in the middle of this display of the iconic manger scene. Beautiful display and rug Margie.
I decided this Christmas that I would start a new tradition. My granddaughter Sophie usually stays with me the week before Christmas as her parents have to work. I vaguely remember those days, grins. I thought I would make homemade doughnuts as I haven't done that in years. They are delicious!

I haven't hooked at all and therefore no update on my elephant rug. I did finish my second sock I was knitting and the two socks match! I am happy.
We have a new rug hooker, Peggy Bennett visited my studio this week, man is she off to a good start! Her smiling face tells the story. She even purchased one of my hooked rugs you can see she is holding.

I have received my surgery date to have my left knee redone. Two years ago, I had a total knee replacement and I still can not bend my knee which has caused all sorts of problems. January 6, 2026, a different surgeon than the original will take out the gadget I have and replace with another. Keep your fingers crossed all goes well. I will need your prayers.
I will not be writing another blog until I am able after my surgery so I have no idea when that may be, but I will be back, sooner or later.
In the mail this week; Shelley Myers finished up this lovely rug and it is her design.

Kim Morrison shared her hooked trees she has been doing. They look awesome, thanks for sharing Kim.

I hope you can do the things you want and are able to do. Don't push them off. Share if you are able your knowledge and talents with others. I wish you joy, happiness and good health. Merry Christmas!
