Live Life To Your Fullest, EVERY DAY!

There is a country song by Tim McGraw that talks about living every day like it is your last.  In theory we all agree, but in reality, we don't always practice.  A sad event occurs that reminds us to try to be the best version of ourselves every day.  Live life to the fullest, eat that gosh darn cake for breakfast if you want to.  Life can change on a dime.  Embrace and enjoy the now and tell those that you love that you love them, don't wait.

Have you been watching the UK show called Game of Wool?  The show is to crown Britain's Best Knitter! I watch it on YouTube.  There are 6 episodes so far.  I am enjoying the show.  There is lots of controversy regarding the show but I love seeing what people can create with wool.  You should give it a go.  It inspired me to improve one of my rugs I hooked.  A rug I hooked of mitts, the cuffs on the mitts I back combed to make it more fluffy based on watching one of the episodes of 'Game of Wool'.  A contestant (Lydia) made her potatoes look more like mashed potatoes by fluffing the wool after she had crocheted them.

I have hooked a lot on my rug and will now share my 'mystery' rug, pattern by Seaside Rug Hooking.  My daughter spent time in Africa maybe 10 years ago and loved the elephants there so I had planned to 'one day' hook this rug for my daughter.  It is busy and meant to be admired from afar.

We had our closing for Christmas this week in Springhill (Friends Hook Nook).  We enjoyed a lovely lunch and a rousing game of Left, Right, Centre.  Diane Benoit took home all the winnings from the game. She is pictured below at the end of the table with the red hair.

In the mail this week; Simonne MacNeil finished up this lovely pillow for one of her grand daughters.  Shelley's Purple is the background yarn.  Thanks for sharing Simonne.

Have a great week everyone.
