These lovely tulips my daughter Jenna gave me for Mother's Day I thought would be perfect for the cover photo of this weeks blog. So pretty.
I had a tooth that was bothering me since Easter. It wasn't because I was eating chocolate but eating yogurt and my metal spoon touched my metal filling and I hadn't known this can create some issues. There is a name for it, voltaic battery effect. Never heard of it. This caused a chain reaction of nerve pain and the tooth needed to be removed. I also had Carpal Tunnel surgery on Wednesday on my left wrist. All is well with that wrist thankfully just needs time to heal. I'll get my right wrist done in June.
I finished up whipping the edges of both of these rugs I started in Rug School. I did the invisible whip stitch that I had not heard of before and I can safely say I will probably not be doing it again as I didn't enjoy whipping this way. You aren't suppose to see the whipping but I wasn't very good at it.

I have been busy knitting away on a baby afghan for a new great niece arriving in September.

In the mail this week; Pauline Verstraten finished these lovely two projects. The knitted mitts are very special and will go to a bride and groom this summer. Look closely at the design in the mitts.

Ineke Bakker shared this beautiful rug with us of her grandfathers grain windmill. I learned when in Holland last summer that most of the windmills get passed down from generation to generation. Ineke's uncles took over the windmill and when they retired, they gave the grain windmill to the historical society and it was restored and opened to the public. Ineke had me dye some of the brick work. Beautiful rug and story Ineke.

I'll see some of you in Springhill at the Hook-In as I am vending.
Have a good week everyone!
