In Sickness & Health, December 11, 2022

Usually the phrase, in sickness & health, is related to a marriage vow.  You will continue to love and support your significant other, through bad times and good.  The word on the street (have always wanted to say that), is that there is a ton of sickness out there right now and no it isn't called COVID19, 20, 21 or 22.  Not sure what it is called, but I do know it a pain, all over, affecting the most senior to the very young.  Unfortunately, most who get this new sickness, are sick for 'weeks' if not 'months'.  I was sick the entire month of November, it started late October, the same week as my birthday.  My sons entire family have had it, twice, my daughters family had and still have it since September.  It is the gift that keeps on giving I'm afraid.  What is a person to do that needs to work, heat the home and make money?  Keep your hands busy as you can, and one foot in front of the other is all any of us can do and ask for help if needed.  Talk with friends as we can build each other up, have a laugh and keep joy in our hearts.

Last week, The Northport Loopers, held their closing for the holidays.  We had a little game of 'left, right & center'.  You can see from the below picture, people are intent on winning.

I finished this little diamond art, my new fun thing to do.  I know it isn't fibre art but I wanted to share. I received a Christmas card from my Mom that had diamond art on it! So cool.

In the mail this week, Lois Poitras finished this lovely rug.  She said to me most of the yarns in this piece came from Della's Rug Hooking studio.

Kim MacKenzie, finished up her pansy rug and a Santa sock.  Thanks for sharing Kim, they are lovely.

Jean Fawthrop finished up her lovely pansy as well.  Good job!  That is Dusk fabric in the background from Della's Rug Hooking Studio.

Have a great week everyone, stay safe and well.

  • Yes we must keep those feet moving! One foot in front of the other is good advice as is keeping those hands busy!!! Thankful for hooking.

  • Hope you keep feeling better as the days go on, Della. We too have experienced the same from Hurricane Sunday in September until, I noted, roughly October 27th! Actually the whole year has thrown things at us about every two months. Unbelievable. So yah…one foot infront of the other…and keep on keeping on. 🤷‍♀️
