Some days I wish I were a cat. Lazing around and from all appearances, a great life. I got a new dog bed for Charlie and you can see who is using it.
Last Friday I left for Halifax to be with my daughter and her family as they prepare for moving to their new home. Denver came with me to help me look after Sophie and he was such a big help. He is so good with Sophie and Sophie loves him very much. These two fill my heart to the top and I'm so fortunate to have these two grandchildren.
As I was getting ready to leave on Friday, there were a few loose ends at Della's Rug Hooking Studio that I felt I could leave until I returned late on Sunday (today). I had made a few purchases and hadn't logged them into my spreadsheet for expenses, but I would remember all I had done on Friday, right? I was sure I would. Why do we 'think' we will remember something so clearly at the time of trying to convince ourselves to put something off? Today, it is a different story and all I can say is I wish I had of completed the outstanding things on Friday. Maybe next time right?
I had wrote in last weeks blog about acquiring a Bunka kit some time ago that I hadn't done anything with. I ended up tearing out what was done on the project by someone else and saved the threads to be re-used. I watched several YouTube video's on the Japanese Art of Bunka. I was ready to get to work. I LOVE it and can't wait to sit down and do more on this project. You may remember I had seen Bunka being done in Florida a few years ago when I was there visiting a friend (pre-covid). I fell in love with the art as soon as I saw it and was happy, once trying it myself, that I do love it. Below is my progress to date. I found out quickly that I won't have enough thread so I ordered up more and was happy to see the same colours on Bunka with Flair's web site. Do I fully know what I am doing? NO but that isn't stopping me....no bunka critics please...lol
I had asked folks to let me know what the interest would be in Della's Rug Hooking Studio supplying Valdani Pearl Cotton threads. The response was good so I have a very big order on its way to me! Stay tuned.

Sophie is lucky to have such a sweet Cousin as Denver! He is such a great kid, well rounded and just fun to be around! Glad you got to spend some time with the two of them <3
