Growing Season

The flowers are plentiful this year.  Fruit bearing trees are a growing.  Strawberry season is about done for the year.  Speaking of which, I can NOT understand how some stores stock strawberries from the US and people purchase them?  Help me understand why when we have our own fresh strawberries right here in Nova Scotia?  The granddaughters above were picking at Dempseys Orchard yesterday.  

I didn't blog last weekend, I was away in PEI to my Niece's wedding, Jillian and Dylan MacDonald are now married.  Was a wonderful wedding.

I have been busy dyeing wool, restocking, trying to stay ahead of the game.

I have been working on a mini punch design and I don't have much to show of it as of yet.  I have pulled out my 'last' purchased pattern I have so no more stash!  I have it laid out on my table contemplating colours for it.  Decisions, decisions.

I received Jane Holdens new booklet I purchased from Etsy.  Faux Natural Dye formulas.  I am looking forward to learning all about faux natural dyeing.  I had taken a class with Jane a few years ago.  It was virtual and I had learned a lot from her on dyeing blues and light fastness.

In the mail this week; Rennie Roop shared these two rugs with me.  The first was her entry from Manitoba for the Canada games in Newfoundland.  The second a friend likes bees.  Thanks so much for sharing with us Rennie!

Susanne Martin finished up her Gail Lambert pattern.  It is lovely Susanne.
