The days seem to fly in the summer don't you notice? I think we are so busy having a good time and nice weather makes for faster days. I was in Halifax last Sunday evening at my daughter and son-in laws and completely forgot to blog Sunday evening, sorry about that. My daughter, Jenna, grandson (Denver) and I went to the Buskers. Have you done that before? We had not so it was fun to take that in. It was extremely hot that day on the water front so a good day for all of the activity. The below was on the water front so I had to have my picture taken with the Maud Lewis painting.
The picture at the beginning of this blog was taken this weekend of my grandson Denver and granddaughter Sophie, so sweet, sigh. Just makes my heart swell. My daughter Jenna and Sophie spent the week at grammies with Denver and I and it was a busy week to say the least. We were at my sister-in law's (Debbie's) pool almost every day. We are so fortunate to have family that let's us take over their pool on a daily basis.
The evenings are beginning to get cool though which seems way too early for that.
Darlene Reid brought her moose pattern to show us and I think it is fabulous. Darlene does such wonderful work.
This coming week is going to be a busy one. If you haven't marked your calendars or signed up to go to Wallace for their annual hook-in sitting out under the apple trees, you'd best get at it! Will be an awesome time for all as it is each year. I was always working and some years I could get the day off but most I could not but now that I'm retired, you know who will be there with bells on, ME! Please stop and say hi if you see me.
I've heard Kay LeFevre, The Wool Genie will be present at the Wallace hook-in, can't wait to see and meet Kay in person. Kay's rugs are simply amazing.

Tomorrow, August 12th, is the weekly hooking in Northport at the community center, 10-2. Hope to see you there!
