Friends, Family and Connections, September 25, 2022

The Atlantic provinces were hit pretty hard with the recent Fiona Hurricane.  My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected and their families.  This is the time to go visit your neighbour and give a hand as many hands make light work and together we can get through anything.

Last week I was privileged to attend the Northport Loopers Hook-In as their vendor.  This hook-in is the only one I am bringing my shop to as I am waiting for a knee replacement.  I want to thank all of those who purchased from me, your continued support humbles me.  I want to thank all the girls who helped set up, unload and load and Shelley and her husband Phil, special people indeed. I would not have been able to vend without your help.

A few photos from the hook-in, this is the first event in over 2 years and we were so happy to be able to gather.

We were called to lunch by our birthday months, the below is of Cathy Naylor, Wendy Brown and myself, we were in line together and we asked 'what is the date of your birthday?' It turned out we were all the 29th of October which we thought was so funny as we happen to be standing in line together so we had to snap a picture, thanks Barb Murray for the picture.

The food was spectacular!

In the mail this week; Suzanne Martin has been working diligently on this beautiful rug and it is now done.  Thanks for sharing Suzanne.

Helen Valentin shared her dragon fly rug with me.  The background she purchased from Della's Rug Hooking Studio and the rug is beautiful.  Thanks for sharing Helen!

Cathy Naylor hooked this beautiful Joan Kays pattern, the green in the leaves and the red in the poinsettias are from Della's Rug Hooking Studio. It is beautiful Cathy!

A relatively new rug hooker, Nicole Bath, shared her rug she had hooked of her cat Hobbs.  It is lovely and the details she added to this rug is simply perfect!  Thanks Nicole for sharing.
