Father's Day, 2019

Another year has rolled around to father's day and whether your father is on this earth or not, whether you are doing both mom and dad duties, whether you look after animals, whether you have foster kids, step parent, doesn't matter, the bottom line is to love with all your heart and to celebrate that today and each day. Love wins!

The feature picture above is of my new grand daughter Sophie. She had a recent photo shoot and the little monkey was wide awake for the pictures and I love them. I have finally finished her rug, just the finishing to do around the edges.

I missed posting the below picture in last weeks blog. Carrie Settle designed and hooked this lovely rug to give away. There is a story to the chicks and I know I'll probably mess it up but each represents the volunteers who work for the fire department in Dorchester, New Brunswick. Such a lovely gesture by sweet Carrie, she is so giving of herself and time.

We are now having rug hooking in my studio, Tuesday evenings, 7-9, come join us and sit and chat, knit, hook, braid, whatever works for you. Below is a picture of the group from a couple of weeks ago. Great group of gals.

We congratulated our very own, Donna Legere on her recent achievement obtaining designation of RHGNS (Rug Hooking Guild Nova Scotia) Teacher. We are so proud of you Donna!

Donna will be teaching in the near future in my studio. Stay tuned!

Lynne Lines finished up this lovely rug to give to her niece at her graduation. It is simply lovely. Lynne started this at rug school in May.

Patsy Gorveatte will be teaching in my studio, July 9th a large flower course using torn strips of wool. We are accepting the first 10 requests to attend this course. Please contact me to reserve your spot. This is a one day course which is sure to be a fun event.

Below is a recent completion of the Chinese Roundel by Lainy Young. She did a fabulous job and I'm hoping to do a blog soon on the various versions of this rug. Stay tuned!

Last summer one of my customer's who had visited my studio said to me, 'you should have air conditioning!' I hadn't given that a thought until then, so my customers who visit my studio now will be happy to know I have installed a heat pump with air conditioning. We will be nice and comfy!

Have an awesome week everyone!
