Easter, April 17, 2022

What does Easter mean to you? It seems to me as each generation passes, perhaps we forget what the holiday is truly about and we put our own spin on what it means to us. When I was working, it was a long weekend much appreciated and time spent with family.  Today it means to me a new beginning, Spring is here, flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, happiness is radiating. Gives us all hope for a better tomorrow and truly appreciate each day given to us.

I spent the weekend at my daughters and an Easter Egg hunt was first on the list of things to do. Was a beautiful day to be outside enjoying family.

Our family likes the tradition of cooking a turkey and having a lovely meal together so I was able to do that yesterday with my daughters family.
I have been working on a new pattern. A geometric that a lot of people do as a hit & miss but I decided to use up a piece of linen I had on hand and to use only textures off the bolt wool fabrics. Typically the outlining is done in black but I decided to use antique red. I had changed my mind a few times regarding the colour plan and therefore why the writing of the colours in the blocks are a mess.

In the Mail this week;  Diane Benoit has finished up a couple of beautiful rugs, thanks for sharing Diane!

I got the privilege of teaching Tammy Greeno how to rug hook and she wanted to hook my pattern called Catfish. She said she had fun hooking this. Welcome to the club Tammy!

Shelley Myers finished her Nutcracker. Thanks for sharing Shelley, he’s awesome!

Kim MacKenzie shared her Lori Ann Lingley Paisley Tree pattern finished rug. Great job Kim thanks for sharing!

Happy Easter everyone and have an great week!
