Have you heard the expression, 'Dog Days of Summer'? I don't know why but it popped into my head so I goggled it as sometimes I don't know if I make up sayings I call Dellisms or if I've heard the phrase before. Sure enough, Dog Days of Summer are the hottest days of the summer. It seems this is what we are enjoying at the moment here in Nova Scotia. Don't blink or it will be over. The nights are still cool and I like that for sleeping.
The above photo was taken of my roses I picked from my flower garden. They are so pretty and fragrant. They are yellow then they turn pink.
My studio is 'full' almost to the brim with beautiful hand dyed yarns and fabrics. The below you can see Mother Hubbards cupboards are FULL!

I finally started my very 'last' purchased pattern I have in my stash. Pattern by Michele Micarelli. Stay tuned, more to come on this rug.

I can share a bit of my mini punch project I am punching. Not sure who the pattern is by. The photo is from the back and a Blue Jay is in the center.

We helped my Aunt Shirley celebrate her 90th birthday yesterday. It was like a family reunion, lots of Nelsons and Ripley's. In the photo below are three siblings, from left to right, Aunt Shirley (the birthday girl), Winston Ripley (my dad) and Aunt June.

In the mail this week; no new photos of rugs from my clients.
Have an awesome week everyone!
