July 1st in Canada was celebrated this past weekend. It was rainy and wet but perfect days to get things done inside and I didn't feel guilty about not being outside getting other things done like weeding, mowing, etc. I'm sure those that wanted to do outdoor activities for the Canada Day festivities or campers probably didn't like the rain at all. Unfortunately we don't control mother nature and we my as well just make the best of it.
July 4th in the US is celebrated tomorrow. Happy Independence day to our American neighbors.
What do we have to celebrate? How very fortunate we are to be living where we do. For most of us it hasn't been by choice, but by luck as we were born here. The Canadian and American citizens who have immigrated to our great countries, know how fortunate we are, even if we don't.
My daughter works on the other side of the world. She sees every day how fortunate we are to live where we do.
I got a couple more of my pillows done this weekend, flip flops and some green flowers. The pillow slips with zipper enclosures I purchased from the Dollar Store and the weave on the pillow slip is such that you can hook into it. Filled it with a lovely pillow insert.
I am focused on getting my Chinese Roundel done. I hooked a couple of green areas as you can see circled and zoomed in below. Hopefully more next weekend.
I had a visitor today that needed some Chestnut to match a rug she had started. I didn't have anything on hand that matched and she asked, could I dye something up for her...now? I said sure, let's do it! Two more new colors in the shop, Patsy's Brown Light and Dark.
Embrace each day with joy and a smile! Have a super week.
