Back Into The Swing of Things

It has been a rough few weeks for me since I arrived home from Europe.  I came home with pneumonia and I had never had that before.  I'm not coughing as much now and feel much better but still mending. I appreciate all the kind thoughts, visits and treats given to me.  Charlie has been taking good care of me.

As you know, we haven't gotten rain much over the past few months and fires are breaking out all over Canada.  My prayers and thanks for all of the volunteers trying to save our homes and forest.

I have finished hooking my Gooney Bird, I am now working on crocheting the edge.

I finished up a hat pattern that was provided as one of the courses on the cruise.  It fits Charlie perfectly.

I'm working on another Challenge rug.  The Springhill group has challenged anyone who would like to duplicate a local artist painting into a rug.  My youngest sister, Debra when she was 16, had painted a shepherd girl holding a lamb and I thought this would be the perfect picture to hook.  But it has a face and I struggle with faces so I have some tweaking to do but here it is so far.

In the mail this week; Sheila Wilson finished this heart pattern by Della's Rug Hooking Studio.  She is making a pillow.  Well done Sheila.

Reminder of the outdoor hook-in, in Wallace, Nova Scotia, Thursday.  Hope to see you there!

Have a great week everyoine!
