Today is actually not as cold as it was the past few days so we will take it. I laughed a friend had posted a little cartoon saying if those chores you were putting off until 'hell' froze over, this weekend your time is up! Made me laugh, we sometimes put off those things we don't really want to do. Record breaking temperatures were seen in our neck of the woods.
I had to post this beautiful photo of my granddaughter above, today is her first dance class!
I have been working on my Russian Alphabet rug, honest, I see progress. All the letters inside the circle are now done, I've purposely done them in two shades of textured wool, they spell special Russian words like family, love, respect. They are meant to be discreetly seen. I tried hooking them in the background natural wool but you really couldn't see them. You can see clearly the various shades of natural I get from time to time as I'm using up left over pieces from bolts.
In the mail this week; Kim MacKenzie finished up her Dahlia Garden rug, design by Della's Rug Hooking and most of the wool supplied by the same. Very nice Kim!
A relatively new rug hooker, Lara Fawthrop finished up her designed circle rug. Looks great!
Lynne Lines finished two trash bins for her grandchildren's toys. Each has their name on the trash bin which I know is hard to see. Both are great!
Dolly Pollard posted her finished St Nick rug she took a course with Ruth Downing. It is wonderful, thanks for sharing Dolly.
Have a wonderful week everyone!
